Recreation of DeVore & Antiochos Simulation with FLUX: Summer 2008
Present: Christopher Plumberg, Craig DeForest, Charles Kankelborg
- Chris spent the summer working to reproduce the simulation performed by Dr. C. Richard DeVore and Dr. Spiro Antiochos, described in their paper on the subject, Dynamical Formation and Stability of Helical Prominence Magnetic Fields (ApJ, 539:954-963, 2000 August 20).
- There were two scripts used in relaxations, which performed the following tasks:
- Relax set of initial conditions, and compare RUNFLUX
- Relax world, including shearing motions, and compare RUN_FLUX_DA
